Project Description

The owner of the vessel requested MRS to upgrade their existing Gyro Compass (Anschutz Standard 4) to new Gyro Compass (Tokyo Keiki ES-110) onboard.

Project features include:

• To remove the existing Gyro System in its entirety and install the new Gyro Compass;
• Remove all cables. Existing cables to be cut at cable collars and properly terminated at all locations;
• Install new cables to locations. Use as many existing cableways as possible;
• Re-band all newly installed cables;
• Cut off all existing mounts and fabricate plate to mount new Gyro Compass;
• Installation of new Gyro Compass including analog/digital repeater unit and NMEA to SYNCHRO Converter unit and use back existing repeaters;
• Fabrication, welding, lagging & painting;
